Amy Huang, M.D. graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. from the Department of Biology. As an undergraduate student, she was involved in medical research and community service, and was awarded the Presidential Award for Top 10 in Community Service for the NYC College Service Challenge.
She attended SUNY Downstate College of Medicine where she graduate with an M.D. During medical school, she coordinated a clinical trial for a topical treatment for psoriasis, and was awarded the William Montagna, M.D. Award for Excellence in Dermatological Research. She also won multiple medical student awards in essay writing.
After medical school, she pursued a yearlong research fellowship at SUNY Downstate in Pediatric Dermatology, where she coordinated more than ten major dermatology clinical trials and treated pediatric dermatology patients. She is currently completing her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. In her spare time, Dr. Huang enjoys hiking, traveling, powerlifting, and painting.
