Dr. Rella Hartman was born and raised in Brooklyn Heights, New York. She is a highly respected expert, who has over twenty years of experience in private practice and teaching. Dr. Hartman is known for her compassion toward patients and commitment to general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has clinical expertise in a wide array of aesthetic dermatologic procedures, with a focus on injectables such as Botox® and soft tissue fillers including Restylane® and Juvéderm®, as well as laser treatments for hair removal and unwanted blood vessels on the legs and face.
Dr. Hartman is both a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She graduated cum laude with honors in biology from New York University and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She completed her internship in internal medicine at NYU School of Medicine VA and her residency in dermatology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Hartman holds a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where in 2012 she was awarded the distinguished Special Recognition Award in Dermatology by the alumni association. She served as co-director of the dermatology clinic at Long Island College Hospital, and is on staff at New York Methodist Hospital, an affiliate of Weill Cornell Medical College.
