Dr. Shenara Musthaq provides expert care in dermatology for patients of all ages. Her practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin, hair, and nail disorders, as well as cosmetic procedures such as lasers, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and chemical peels. Dr. Musthaq’s primary focus is medical dermatology, delivered through evidence-based treatment and individualized care.
Dr. Musthaq earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Anthropology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical College in Brooklyn, New York. During medical school, she completed a dermatology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, contributing to peer-reviewed publications, a book chapter, and national presentations on melanoma, laser therapy, and patient decision aids in dermatology. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City follows by a dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she trained extensively in general dermatology, skin of color, pediatric dermatology, laser and cosmetic procedures, and dermatologic surgery.
Dr. Musthaq is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Originally from Philadelphia, she now resides in Manhattan. Outside of medicine, she is an avid tennis player and enjoys cooking.
